    Autumn Ice Sculptures

In a world where things are forgotten like turning a sprinkler off at –10c (about 15F), produces wonders as beautiful as any Autumn color, well not really, but I work with what I have and since I have so little Autumn color here at the ranch I will share instead Autumn Ice Sculptures.

A little Autumn a lot of Ice..

    PA090051

As the sun peaked over the ridge the light show began.

With sprinkler still going the sparkles were flying.

    PA090059

Caught between the colors of fall and the icy world of winter

    PA090098

    Wildflowers were frozen in time..

    PA090094

But their beauty continues to shine in a new dimension.

    PA090096

Baubles formed by blades of grass
like diamonds scattered on the lawn.

    PA090104

From every plant a new sculpture grew..

    PA090111

Reaching for the heavens like a bean stock

till the warmth of the sun ended its growth.

     PA090119

But not before a perennial garden of ice sculptures were formed.

    PA090128

Beauty so fleeting as Autumn color

will be here one day and gone the next.

Whatever season it is for you, find whatever beauty you can.

    To those celebrating Thanksgiving

    To everyone else

    Good Morning…..     Good Afternoon……     Good Night…….

    Whatever it is to you…

Dear Carrie, these photographs are absolutely amazing. They are these unique and transient sculptures and just boggling to examine. I love shape/form, especially spontaneous. These are such cool natural sculptures and once again your talent with a camera brings these moments to total captured beauty. Thank you for your unique eyes! And your sharing of special moments I might too often fail to appreciate. Take care.

Woooooooow Carie, that is soooooo cooooool!
I would love to see your face when you saw it the first time. We should all try to find something good when something wrong happens. Your photos are beautiful. I really love the second photo with the sprinkler still on and the sixths photo with the Baubles formed by blades of grass.
You had a lot of work with the apples but what a nice reward with the applesauce!

Hi Carrie, the second photo of the sun shining over the mountain, is my favorite. So Beautiful!!
Sounds like your pantry will be stocked full of applesauce for the winter, yum! We are starting to have some pretty cold nights here, but it hasn't gotten as cold as there. Lowest I think is abt 28 F. Hubby has been busy splitting wood for our wood burning heater.
    Stay warm and take care......Sunee

Sorry I haven't been visiting but along with the ice sculptures I had over 100 lbs of apples freeze on a tree. So I went ahead and picked them and have been trying to get them canned in the last few days. I peeled apples for 6 hours straight yesterday. But the frozen apples have produce the best applesauce I have ever tasted. Weather has warmed up and clouded over so may get snow now. Everyone thank you for coming by to visit my icy scenery. Will be by to see you soon if I haven't already as soon as I get caught up here.
Hugs to all of you and hope live is going well for you.

Oh no, forgot to turn off the sprinklers. Well you sure got a show of sculptures alright and very pretty too.
I saw a cartoon of two brothers each bringing in an armful of icicles and askedtheir Mom ..."Can we make ice cream?"
